Collection: HPS / MH Bulbs
HPS Grow Lights
When it comes to indoor grow lights, two types of bulbs have been a staple of indoor horticulturalists for decades. These are HPS (High-Pressure Sodium) and MH (Metal Halide) bulbs. Both are HID (High-Intensity Diode) lights that produce the right type of light for photosynthesis. HPS and MH bulbs can be used independently. Or as a combination of both to cultivate plants at their different stages of life cycles.
MH bulbs emit the blueish-white needed by plants for strong vegetative growth. So that’s their roots, leaves, and branches, especially during the early stages of cultivation. HPS bulbs emit a reddish-orange-yellowish coloured light.
The light spectrum from HPS bulbs is favourable for promoting flower production and dense blooms. Both types of hydroponic light can be used in conjunction with the appropriate ballast to increase your plant yield.
