A light ballast will ignite and supply power to your grow light bulb for your indoor growing system. Helping to not only produce consistent light needed for plant growth, also regulating electrical currents to ensure your lighting system operates safely and reliably.
Matched to your bulb wattage, the use of ballasts will operate both HPS and MH bulb types. For indoor plant growing, there are two main ballast light types to consider.Working on a basic plug-and-play type of operation, magnetic ballasts are simple and easy to use.
Electronic and Digital Ballasts go one step further and have the ability to adjust and dim your lights as and when needed.

What are the differences between Magnetic and Digital Ballasts? Magnetic ballasts core is made from steel plates that are wrapped in copper wire coil – creating a magnetic field, whereas, Digital Ballasts offer better technology, they use electronic circuitry which regulates the amount of charge, this increases efficiency and produces less heat.
What are the benefits of a Dimmable Ballast? Depending on your grow room it allows you to swap in higher or lower wattage bulbs to suit your application without having to purchase another ballast.
